Brentwood TC Gymnasts Shine at Schools’ Competitions
28th November 2021 saw Brentwood TC Gymnasts competing in both London & Eastern Regional BSGA competitions.
London
Representing Coopers Company and Coborn School, Issie Boukhoufane won the Years 7-9 Elite event at the London Schools Regional competition yesterday with execution marks for both routines in the middle 8s; well done Issie!
Issie was joined by teammates Maisie Waller, 2nd (also a club member here) and Maggie Smith 3rd as they took a clean sweep of the podium places and the team gold.
Also jumping for Coopers were club members Olivia Walker, Abbie Meacher and Rhys Harding. Olivia won bronze in the Years 10-14 Intermediate event while Abbie Meacher was 5th and, together with team mate Amber they won silver in the team event. Well done!

Eastern Region
Anna Gray represented Shenfield High School in the Years 10-14 Elite category at the East Schools Regional competition, also yesterday. Anna kept it simple in the set routine and achieved 9s from the execution judges! Her vol was also very good (8.4s) and Anna can be very proud of her 4th place as hers was a really high class field. Katarina Jones, representing Great Baddow High School in the same group was unfortunate that her set routine ended early on the end deck but she competed the vol nicely and finished 6th.
Zonal Finals
Issie, Maisie, their teammate Maggie and Anna will now progress to January’s Zonal competitions. Also through are Rhys, Olivia, Abbie and Amber and we wish them all the best.
